Why Sri Lanka & Italy?

The pandemic brought a shift, a decision to do something different. Together, we embarked on an 9-month journey to Sri Lanka in 2021, back to Leo’s roots.

Initially, we worked at Leo’s family hotel. Later, we took on roles as guides for a travel agency focused on activities and hotspots. But we realized we could do it better.

We wanted to showcase the local culture, cuisine, and authentic experiences. We wanted to show the world Sri Lanka and Italy as we see them. Leo speaks the languages, knows the people, and has a home base here.

And so, Pauw Travels was born.

With us, you can plan trips to Sri Lanka and Italy. We offer group tours under the concept of “Welcome to Our House” as well as custom-made individual trips with on-site guidance if desired.

Pauw Travels stands for experiencing travel like a local. It’s driven by our passion and always personal and of high quality.

Our travel agency does not rely on third parties to get involved with the travel design nor organisation; rather, we (Suus & Leo) maintain a personal approach to our journeys by handpicking the activities, accommodations and means of transport, for our guests to embrace the local communities they make contact with.
